When the light did dim from your eyes
and you went back to the realms of forever more
I wanted to lay by your side and fade with you
but you begged me not to, so I obeyed you

Because of you my dark eyes now blaze
and not even the mighty stars will stop me
I will always treasure your words and wisdom
I am now committed by heart to this command

I took that trip you asked me to my dear
I looked within, to what I have to give
oh how deep and secret is my mind
how many ravines of knowledge given

Each touch of keys or stroke of pen
will be in the honour of you
you are the flame that lit the touch paper
every word uttered will be in the glory of you
