Saleh had just celebrated the ceasefire.
Cheering and singing with the people of Gaza.
But apparently that was the last time Saleh was happy.
That was the last time Saleh smiled.
A few days later his smile was no longer visible on camera.
Saleh the always smiling journalist has finally been martyred.
Following Anas his good friend whom he had hugged during the previous ceasefire.

Saleh's smile will always be remembered.
His hobby of singing will also always be remembered.
So will his struggle as a journalist fighter.
He tirelessly and fearlessly covered the long chaos in Gaza.
The long chaos never made him forget to smile in front of the camera.

Too many Gazan journalists fell one by one.
It's hard to accept that now Saleh is gone.
The journalist who always smiled has a great honor.
A Great honor as a journalist fighter who fought until his last breath.
