Saul and Sally Sock
Met in the bottom left-hand drawer
When the other two they once knew
Got lost in the wash the day before

To this pair color didn’t matter
The same goes for shape and size
With Saul as thick as a sock can get
And Sally worn thin over time

Being mismatched, they were still a catch
As far as socks are concerned
To tell the truth, what it boils down to
Is the fact they keep each other warm

After all they have nothing to worry about
Outside of their bottom drawer
As long as the man known as he and his feet
Never dig too deep into their world

Because they know this to be so
As far as humans go
There’s always a chance that the socks they had
Would one day magically show
Leaving out the idea they would ever be thrown
