Hot and humid air, brushes across your pale cheeks,
summer rain returns, from it's seasonal exile,
you lift your eyes, to the darkening skies,
the distant sound of thunder, rings within your soul.

The wind intensifies, as it caresses your hair,
this sweet downpour, on this warm summers evening is near,
with the smell of damp soil, with your deepening breath,
transfixed are you with delight, waiting for natures display of light.

Now it is upon you, in all it's might and glory,
heavy tepid droplets, start falling from the heavens,
you are enveloped in its arms, in a watery embrace,
this wondering tempest, of might, beauty and grace.
