What are we supposed to do
When you say we're in the way
You're the one who invited us in
And now you say that we can't stay

Being miles away from yesterday
And the place we once called home
Now you tell us, pack your bags
And that we all have to go

We didn't come looking for a fight
Just peace and harmony
What will it take for open eyes
To see the light of humanity

We're all just trying to do better
And make something of our families
Isn't that what really matters
In the broad scheme of things

Wouldn't it be better if we came together
And built this up in both trust and love
After all, as I recall
You're the one who invited us...
I'm really torn on this whole issue. I know the criminal's need to go and that America can't afford the massive influx of immigrants but what would you do if given the opportunity to make a better life for you and your family. What a mess!
