breaking your neck to see
what's behind you
knowing that they'll find you
wherever you hide.

but you've got thick skin
don't let them grind you down
don't let the ******* win.

if we're already sunk
there's no more damage
can be done
by going out
and getting ****-faced drunk.

The morning
seltzer dissolving
and the bubbles
echoing
in the chambers of your heart
when your head is a canyon
long since abandoned

there is no more gold
to be found.
