On The Set
The moon has no fixed
abode, other than a pad
behind the hill according
to a very old Irish song.
The sun is not nearly as
adventurous, same old
same old, but there are
a lot people like this also.
Let the hare set is a saying
which means to pause for
a moment and a rabbit set
is and area a bit like a hutch.
Game set and match is the
tennis term which is almost
the same as lock stock and
barrel, or, the full caboodle.
There is a set square which
is an implement rather than
a tool used by an engineer,
so called due to being fixed.
On the set is the stage term
abbreviated from the setting
which was often a backdrop
set up to assist the audience.
Thereβs a couch settee which
is a low working class lounger.
Sofa is aspirant bourgeois, but
I much rather, Chaise Longue!
A settle is more than reaching
an agreement or fixing debts
a settle is/was also a wooden
chest or a pew in a monastery.
Settlers are unscrupulous Jews
stealing land from Palestinians
in the West Bank after already
being gifted Israel by the Brits.
