I'm sorry it took me so long to see,
How deep are the storms that affected your tree.
I let my love blur all the view,
Blinded me to the quiet hurting in you.

I missed you so much, I lost my way,
Chasing your smell, day after day.
Forgetting to listen, to hold, to stay —
Not just with words, but in what I say.

I see it now, and I feel the ache,
The careless steps, the hearts they break.
When you're ready, my arms will be wide,
No rush, no race — just time at your side.

I'll love you with patience, fierce and true,
With all the strength I've found anew.
And hold the space you need to mend,
With open hands, until the end.
