Early the first Easter The world went through a change Starting at the tomb of Jesus When angels rolled the stone away
Jesus died so you and I Would forever be set free Crucified for all mankind Death where is your sting
Giving us the chance to start again With him righting all our wrongs Taking in our daily sin As far as the day is long
All we need is to believe The Savior sent for us To satisfy our greatest need Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness
Two thousand years ago Today we celebrate The sacrifice of Jesus On this Easter day
When both Jesus and our hopes were raised

I have a friend that I write quite a few poems with, love talking on the phone going over ideas. She's tried to get on this site but for some reason can't. I've been waiting for her to post what we've written but I guess sadly that will never happen on Hello Poetry. Does anyone ever get a response from Elliot on questions they have?
