Not a Flake
I don’t write
to shovel thought—
neat
white
cornered slush.
Snow is too quiet—
it piles
compliant
heavy without a fight
a deep cold
that flatters
silence.
My lines bite—
quick
slight—
flakes that never
settle right
nor do I.
