Those lifeless wings;
On the metal they lay

My dear beautiful bird
I find dismay

Buried next to the marigolds
where my departed cousin
once grazed

Gone, the life from you
No longer flapping along

On into the netherworld
Where you'll sing
your chirping songs

My little lucky parakeet
sing
Forever long

The life from you
now drained
dead and gone

After celebrating a wonderful Halloween, I came home to find that my parakeet had passed on =/ Just a little dedication
