If (with apology to Rudyard Kipling)
If you don't climb
the height you'd not know-
if you don't run
you'd not know
what's fast or slow-
if you don't go
what's in store
you won't know-
how cold is outside?
you've to step
into the snow-
who deep is the water?
to its depth you must flow-
what's the meaning
of life?-
you've to suffer sorrow-
how could you feel
love's glow
if its footsteps
you don't follow?
If you must grow
chart your own path
be nobody's shadow!
