She was huddled in the corner
as bullets spat by my head
all I said was **** and fired back
someone shouted in coming
so I tried to shield her
but it was all to late
she laid there lifeless
and I wondered why

This ****** war
Christ It hurts
to see so many broken people
in this armpit of hell
some are so young
it ****** breaks my heart
for mother Mary's tears
and her wounded spirit
