Katie was complicated, even as a child
she never played in childish games
she lived in a world of wonderful dreams

Her life was full of sorrow
but she held on to her dreams
she never ever let them go

She had the virtue of a holy woman
I worshipped the ground she walked
she was all I wanted to truly be

At night I would hear her singing
it was a comfort as I tried to sleep
and when I did, my visions were of her
