Every now and then
It rains
Sometimes it pours
Either briefly
Or for hours
There’s something peaceful
About walking in the rain
Like meditation
It’s the planet’s way
To clean itself
From the soot
Pollution and other wastes
Afterwards
Everything is pristine
Looks new
The air is clear
Sky usually bright blue
The plants are greener
Streets look clean
Mother Nature
At her best
