You said I didn't love you enough.
I did.
Probably to the point you felt smother.
You had the warmth of my love like the warmth of a cover.

You said I didn't spend enough time with you.
I did.
But it sounds like a form of self-insecurity.

I did more for you than you are willing to admit.
I went above and beyond, and you refuse to admit it.
Simply, you were loved.

And that's probably one of the problems.
I did love you too much.
