I met her in a world within reach, yet so unknown,
A conflation anew, yet so known.

Reaching the moon's underneath, the moonshine waited for its star,
In a moment's reach, there the star rose, from afar.

"You are here, my shine,"
"For so long now, for you, I pine."
Her voice, a whisper, soft and sweet,
Caressing the moment as they both meet.

In that dream, beneath the starlit skies,
I swore my all through tearful eyes.
"I'll take you despite what you choose to be,
No matter what, you'll always have this heart of me."

Her eyes shone, just like her heart,
"I'll wait for you," a single tear from her eyes would depart.
My heart responded before I could,
"No one else will come; only you should."

Now I wander, lost in thoughts deep,
Is this love, or a vow I keep?
Is it a promise that haunts my mind,
Or longings with which my heart I bind?

Each soul I gaze, I strain to find,
Her whose shadow lingers in my mind.
Her heart I love, or so I dare say,
Yet doubt staysβ€”it won't go away.

In an era where beauty blinds the eye,
I seek her stillβ€” I could never deny.
Is this love, or just another lie?
The answer, I long to descry.

I chase the echo, the unlit star, a sweet dream to be,
I believe, will never come to me.
In my heart, where emotions roam askew,
I ache for the her I never knew.
