Joy pulsating through me into you
Bringing you into the whole
My first glimpse of you
More precious than told

Young and yearning
I prepared my heart for you
You chose me, your my angel
I assented this miracle true

This moment, this coming
Of life's first undefiled supervene
My joy taken in seconds
By shocking cries of death

Your breath was gone
I looked to see you, I reached to hold you
You were with the doctors
You were okay, I knew

Now I grieve, I ponder
This is the beginning of our lives
I hold you in my arms
And love the hurt that's in your eyes

My angel, Suzanna
Give your struggles to me
I would rather hear the words you speak
Than forever listen to the sea

I would fly into the sky
And capture the sun
I would give myself to the fire
If only your legs could run
