Almost had me there
Pit of despair
In succumbing
To what degradations
Would see me becoming
Your most faithless servant
Though loyal to fault
Go to war against joy
In an all out assault
On good tidings
And pleasantries
Kindly dispense
With impediments
Left
On my path to contempt
And Iā€™d hold them all
Equally
Most firmly
In it
A judge
And not one
Crack of smile
Forgiven
