God's children tread a narrow path
Not the serpent's, smooth and wide
À different drummer, a different drum
Deep and throaty,  or full of pride

The devil's pulse upon his drum
Is quick and clever, 4/4 time
God's is art and full of heart
Traveling over stick and stone.

Satan's stretch is the smoothest stroll
Like a river you swan down
Jesus's has a happy goal
But it will cut you to the bone!

God's will take you over rocks
But has a map to guide your boat
The devil has idols that won't talk
In the end won't stay afloat!

You can slide through stones which scar
But stay with Jesus, man his oars
He has scars which grace His hands
These things come from being ar war.

O'r stone and thorn,
Rapids quick and dangerous
We expect some pain and tears
But we will go, for GO WE MUST!
