I did it
but only
in my tiny way-

they were
the heroes
they did in big ways

in the public-square
their trophies
they did proudly display

their names
will be remembered
and chronicled
for millions of days

nobody noticed
what I did
too puny they said-
I was the least unfazed
as I was not out
for any praise
