The Christmas poem

As love ones gather near and far
Wishing each other a merry Christmas and happy new year
The ones in heaven wishing they were here
You hear them whispering in the wind
You see them in your dreams
You tell them I wish heaven would let you visit this time of year
You see thier footsteps in the snow
You see the red cardinal
You may even see a feather here or there
Just knowing they are there
Don’t be sad this time of year
See people who are still here
Homeless person may be cold
they even be hungry
Feeling that they are forgotten
Don’t feel forgotten people still care
Don’t be sad this time of year
Words only mean what you hold so dear
So try to spread a little Christmas cheers
Merry Christmas to all and happy new year
Something I just wrote might not sound the greatest but I still love it just the same
