I dread another day.
In this moment,
This fragile moment of life,
I dread its relentless continuation.

The day slips in slowly,
Slips in beautifully.
But waitβ€”
What does it hold this time?

My heart fears the marathon,
A marathon of chasing.
You ask,
What am I chasing?
I am as lost as you.

Another dayβ€”
A gift many would trade anything for.
So, I rise.
I continue waking up.
I rise and keep rising.
