I always hated the days
That my ankles would betray
My functionality
But atleast I could bare the pain
And still walk away to escape
In a world of my own

And it wasnt so bad
Because I could
Push through the pain
And maybe even use it
To make the bad thoughts go away

But now its my brain
That has given up on me
And my legs will not let
Me stand on my own

And its the worst thing
I could imagine
Aside from HIM
Happening again

So when my legs collapse
Underneath the weight
Of my body

My mind also collapses
Under the weight
Of no escape

So would you
And could you
Blame me
If I lay here
And give up
If I lay here and die?
