Oct 2013
Backyard sunlight pours through,
the gaps between the yellowing leaves.
Fresh ash from last night's flames,
fuelled from last summers longing looks.
Crumbles in a warm september morning's breeze
only to move on and dissappear,
without notice.
Just like the feelings carelessly felt
and the naive words uttered
between you and I
