Sitting on the train
In a country not my own
Riding to another city
Casablanca
It’s known for its intrigue
Mystery
History
A famous movie
My husband at my side
As we ride
Listening to the sounds
As we move along
Looking at the scenery
It changes as we go
More greenery north
Some seagulls fly by
We will be close to the sea
The car is quiet
People on their phones
Or sleeping
The rhythm is
Hypnotic
Coaxing sleep
Peaceful
In many ways
It’s no different
Than any other place
With trains
Finally we arrive
Seeking a taxi
To take us to our destination
Once we are done
The mission completed
We will head back
On another train
Happy we finished
Resting as we travel
Tired
But peaceful
