The foghorn is wailing to warn ships that sail in the mist,

earlier when it was clearer and we could see where we were
heading
the Captain had said in that Captainish tone,
'we'll be home on the noon tide',

a bit wide of the mark,
midday already and dark.

it doesn't matter how deep the water be
when we're sinking the sea is our bed.

But isn't it Thursday?
said Crusoe to Friday

how long before that book is banned?
