Poems
Nov 2
the burden of being
in the quiet moments
when the weight settles
there’s a familiar ache,
a shadow that lingers.
words that echo
with unraveled hopes,
a constant measuring
against an unseen standard.
every effort feels heavy
each smile a mask on my face
whispers of not quite enough,
never enough.
in a crowded room,
even laughter feels distant,
a reminder of the places
i can’t quite reach.
still, i search for a glimmer,
but the weight remains,
shaping who i am
the truth of the matter
i will never be good enough
