You are the shadow that I seek in the brightest of days
Always showing up with your arms wide open, finding your ways
Though the rays might consume, be harsh and vile
I seek you in the crowd hoping I'll find you in a while
And I do, I always do
I find you and steal you,
from among the crowd
Drag you down the road and take you to your seas,
Sink with you deep.

You are my morning star
My trinket of love
Part annoying, part begrudging
My silly bean,
How would the sea ever be without the shore
Each day I seek for you more
Each day I love you more
