I remember the last time I was in America
it was June and the fire bugs were out
it was a nice warm evening in the mid west
and I was chilling the way I like most best
tugging on a fat blunt looking at the stars
then these kids screamed past like creatures from Mars

I sat up to see what the hell they were doing
and the hovering bugs they were moving and shooing
then with torches and little grabbing hands
in jars they put these poor creatures and then slammed

Then I heard a child shout lets have a moonlight sun tan
and one by one they opened the lids and grabbed a poor thing
then crushed their little bodies on to their skin
are not humans such cute little things
this is just another slaughter
I call this the fire bug murders
