What are they selling you?
a wing and a prayer and
I'm betting you
that you'll buy it,
we know it's *******
and none of us will make it
but
we don't want to end it
and so we carry on.
worn threads and dead ends
peeks into the past,
dimples on your cheeks
and
cascades of waves when you
lifted your head.
