An endless turn,

A silent burn,

He slips away,

Won’t e'er return.

The flesh is raw,

The lady saws,

I wait her call,

She fights, withdraws.

Escapists flee

When fear draws near,

They toss, they turn—

Nothing is clear.

Confused, we bind

Tormented hearts,

What we will find

Is love in shards.
