None the wiser than I was
when I was wise beyond my years,
but now I'm older and I'm greyer
and the days are so much shorter,
my shadow seems to linger
I admit, I linger too.

Liver spots and little dots to match
I have to catch my breath at times
can't do what I used to do

and that's okay
I'm here today
you
can thank me later.
