I walk out by the water without your magic.
The bay is so still while you’re not here;
My mind could never match it.

A home is really just a house
Whenever we’re alone.
That lighthouse is not so aptly named
When its glow is never shown.

I sit where I had you in my lap for our interview
And take in the view as my eyes search for you.

You sleep in a sea of subtlety.
Your life sings to mine from afar.
You’ve shown me a world that is meant for me.
So, I’ll imbue the puzzle ahead of me.
I’ll dizzily walk into your lingering laughter.
It’s okay for you to swing at me, playfully.
I’ll just spin you around in the air. 🌀
