the clowns wandered not far
the earth-centrifugal-
the people came as one
with the lion and camel-

one smelled rather foul
the other a star-
said, better in a cage then
the jungle..

ii

to understand the babble
first -quiet
he said,the great peace
in your heart..

look in the rubble
amid the white-
freedom is hell
timeΒ΄s sweet blight

iii

i said thankyou lion,
the many colours..
the camel farted-
i set off for south..

reality-that *****
of a chessnut!
came back sorted-
a rainbow and sepia..

iv
back to the underground
and my guitar
i swung an axe
for a tinker

and then they left
all together
the applause and
myself bereft..
