Another sunny day for some,
but sombre silhouettes, cast
in scenes of no rehearsals, are
the unrecognized stars of war.

There’s no festival of Sundance
or Cannes Palme D’Or or Oscars,
no awards for best supporting
actors or special effects, for Gaza.

Ps

This poem was presented with
a photo of a shadow which was
a metaphor for a dead Palestinian
