Why Would I

I won’t visit a zoo
of domesticated
animals, nor will I
pay for a museum
where they’ve got
taxidermy statues.


I won’t open fridge
doors of carnivores
to catch a glimpse
of their mummified
ménageries which
are only identified
by barcode numbers
going off by dates
and of course, smell.

How could I support
such cruelty, I am a
Vegan for **** sake.
