The city lights never fail
I smile as I walk down the street
Picking up a quarter, on tails
I have nothing but time to beat

A field of lavender on my right
I can’t resist to pick a few
The smell itself is a delight
Pretty enough to bring home to you

The railyards are all abandoned
Simpler times it seems it was
That’s not what the world demanded
I lay my head to the track… listening for a buzz

I’m getting closer, as I can make out the dock
It sits right on the edge of Plum Creek
There with a sign that welcomes you to Castle Rock
It has an answer you may seek

You greet me with a smile, that reflects the stars
I hold you close, as you hold my heart
Our lover itself is a memoir
I knew it was you from the start
