People spend a lifetime
Searching for the truth
Still along the way they're afraid to face
The choices they must choose

It's easier to sit for a lie
Than to stand for your convictions
While over time they tend to find
There's always something missing

They follow along with this fallen world
Down the pathway of destruction
Whatever they hear that tickles their ears
In the moment of deception

If it feels right, they cling on tight
Without a second thought
Too hurried to even worry
How it will all work out

In the spending of a lifetime
Searching for the truth
Where along the way they're afraid to change
With the choices they must choose
