Poems
Jun 27
late night drives; the improbable future
windows down
i hold hands with the wind
and watch as the stars draw nearer
and the sun drifts farther away
the memories of music
fading into the background
my ears ringing
with the sounds of you
—
the crackle of fireworks
begin to erupt before me
and i try to caress the light
that reflects in your eyes
touching the moment
before it fizzles away
into atoms
into
nothingness
