There is no way out for them now,

their goose is cooked, decoy duck

       has lost her Straight Suzy

        and clay pigeon can’t fly.

  Their sheep have been sheared,

no more wool pulling over eyes.

         Boy shepherd is asleep,

             nobody to cry wolf.

     Outfoxed they were, dazzled

rabbits in middle of the road,

blinded and confused by the tiny

           Sunbird of Palestine.
