Innocence is Lost
Innocence is Lost
The sun sinks low
Casting long shadows
A farewell to youth
As innocence departs
Fading like summer
Leaves changing color
Gone with the wind
Lost to the passage of time
But within this loss
A seed of wisdom
Planted in the heart
New growth from old wounds
Though innocence fades
Its memory lingers
In the beauty of scars
And the strength of the soul
We reunite together under this moonlight forever ourselves but never understood by the youth
