Excuse the staring
I wanted to be seen
By you
Beautiful

When I help people I don't feel
Invisiable
Just for a moment
A beggar swinign an empty cup
That hasn't seen coffee in a long time
Any spare change?

Don't look up now
Careful
We might lock eyes
You'd be forced to accept
And recognize
That I am still human too
Like you
Draw out the empathy
Cause despite it all you still care
You tried so hard not to
I know, it's not fair

You see now
It's always in the eyes
Where the soul resides

So careful now
Don't look up
