A lingering warmth, a phantom touch,
Love leaves behind no residue, not much.
No clinging threads, no tethered trace,
Just memories etched, in time and space.

A whispered echo, a fragrant sigh,
A teardrop's stain, beneath a tearful sky.
A melody hums, a heart's refrain,
Love's essence lingers, though it leaves no stain.

In laughter's ghost and whispered name,
Love's tender echo never burns the same.
Love does not burn any bridges
