For the night
I want to kiss your face
and play with your hair,
but we're far gone, dead—
how can love still be there?
I know it won't come back to life,
but I want to hold you once more.
I want to spend the night;
I want the warmth of your love.
Do you miss my hug?
Do you crave my scent?
If you truly loved me,
why didn't you show me then?
I know we're broken;
there's no way to mend.
But if I just want you for the night,
do you think we can?
