Drawn
It lives in my chest,
this ancient feeling
The hum in my throat
And the way that you wrote
My name next to yours
Means a lifetime of going,
can turn into slowing
And the difference is showing,
between hoping and knowing,
between dying and growing
Written before by
old ghosts in robes
They knew what it was
it drew them up to the clouds
It came to me one night
and I too took flight
