Straight laced gemini’s,

polished tongues, well

heeled, uppers classed.

Many the mile walked,

tyres and the odd cur

kicked, still got sole.

Destined for dusty old

shelves, damp sheds

deteriorating recruits.

Humans fade, trappings

decay, libraries go to hell

nor a footprint shall remain
