Nov 2023
i wave my flag
colored white & red
wanting it to be
pure, righteous, holy.

yet instead of white
it burns bright red
feigning fealty
before it scatters in the wind
slate blue.

a little grey,
a little blue
until i'm left
not knowing
what's true.
