I open my eyes, and I see
What my eyes reveal to me,
And that's the only truth I know.

They say
My eyes are deceiving me,
They show the truth only as I perceive.
I weave a web of fear,
I see wrong everywhere, in everyone,
Especially in those dearest to me.

Others' wrongdoings may lead them to drown,
Perhaps today or maybe tomorrow,
But my fear will suffocate me sooner than them,
And, unfortunately,
I will erase my dearest ones first, and then myself.
