It all becomes so tiresome,
tiresome and then some.

But being the son of Northern folk
I turn that tiresome into a joke
and fall asleep
with
one eye open
because one can never be too sure.

the knives are out
and
they hide them well,
but
I see them all the same
it's just another series in the game
where the outcome is uncertain.
